As official delivery partners for the Prince’s Trust we have created a 5-day programme – Be Inspired by Hospitality.
The idea behind this is for young people to gain training and work experience in Hospitality, whilst showcasing versatility within the industry.
Most importantly, for us, we want to create a safe fun environment whilst providing hands-on experience. To ensure that these young people have the best chance at kick-starting a career in hospitality or even their journey into employment.
We believe that with the right support we can create real career opportunities with great prospects.
We will be holding a Pop-Up Restaurant at the Sundial Kitchen on 18th March which will be mostly ran and hosted by a group of young people following our 5 day programme.
About The Princes Trust
We believe you have the talent to achieve anything you want to in life. That’s why we make your journey to success even easier by giving you the skills, tools, training and confidence you need to secure the job you want.
How we support young people:
Many of the young people we help are in, or leaving, care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health issues, or have been in trouble with the law.
We have returned £1.4 billion in value to society through our help for disadvantaged young people over the last 10 years alone.
Our free programmes give young people the practical and financial support they need to stabilise their lives. We help them develop key skills while boosting their confidence and motivation so they can continue to dream big.
We are also Supporting Creative Youth Network and 1625.
Creative Youth Network enables young people, no matter what their background or circumstances, to reach their own potential.
All of our young people are experiencing barriers that are preventing them from flourishing. Many of our young people are marginalised, unemployed, not in education, suffer poor mental health, are in care (or are care leavers), are asylum seekers, refugees, disabled, from low-income households or are an ethnic minority.
We work to help young people remove or overcome the barriers young people face by:
Building trusting relationships with young people that enable us to address their individual needs
Advocating for young people to influence policy and get young voices heard
Providing a wide range of programmes and activities to help young people reach their potential
1625: Housing, life skills, confidence-building, education, training, jobs and fun.
1625 Independent People is a charity that supports young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. For over 30 years we have provided essential services to young people and we partner with agencies across the South West so that together we can change lives.
We provide a broad range of care for young people. We find secure homes, teach life-skills, offer advice, help access training and job opportunities. Most importantly, we help young people to live happily and independently.
